Michael Ibrahim Magaji is a consultant with more than three decades of experience in the public, private, and development sectors. He has a robust background in policy analysis, strategic planning, project management, capacity building, and institutional reform. Michael also has a strong understanding of performance measurement and monitoring, as well as developing policy options for public service delivery and firsthand experience in forming successful public-private partnerships (PPP).
He is a bilingual trainer (French/English) who has managed several capacity-building programs for reputable public and private sector organizations. Among his selected achievements, he designed and implemented training programs for over 3000 entrepreneurs under the KADSTEP program in Kaduna State, Nigeria. He implemented a digital classroom project across 112 schools in Northern Nigeria, including training teachers, regulators, and champions. He also negotiated and designed the setting up of the Development Bank of Nigeria, to mention a few.
In his early career, he moved from Management Associate to Regional Manager from 1991- 1999 and then to Senior Manager of the Corporate Banking Group at CITIBANK Nigeria. He later became a Special Adviser to the Honorable Minister of Water Resources, the Honorable Minister of State for Works, the Honorable Minister of National Planning, and the Honorable Minister of State of Finance from 2010 to 2014.
