Dr. Munirat Antoinette Lecky “Anto” is a Nigerian-American educator, entertainer, and entrepreneur born and raised in New Jersey, USA. She rose to prominence as a Big Brother Naija 2018 semi-finalist. She was previously the Head of Operations for the Continental Basketball League, Nigeria’s first private basketball league based in Lagos. She is a model, actress, host, influencer, educator, and humanitarian. She has worked in operations, marketing, management, and sponsorship. She is passionate about women’s issues, sports, education, and living a natural, healthy lifestyle.
She is the founder of The Live Wire Project, an NGO whose primary campaign, “Edo Babes are Fly,” encourages girls to pursue education, empowerment, and skill development to lower the prevalence of gender-based violence and sex trafficking in Edo State. She works with “ElectHER,” a nonpartisan group that seeks to enhance the representation of women in politics, as the Project Lead for Arts and Special Projects.
She is an INEC youth ambassador, encouraging young Nigerians to register for and vote in secure elections. She also founded “Arise N Vote,” an influencers-led campaign to encourage Nigerians to register to vote. She co-hosted a podcast series in which she interviewed candidates for public office in Lagos State, with plans to expand it to television and candidates across the country.
She co-owns the luxury haircare line Anto Lecky X Taries Hair Builder, Room 22 Agency, a management and marketing consulting firm, and O’Compatriots Lifestyle Co., a gifting and branding outlet. She works for Weldios University as the Creative Director. In her previous role as Program Manager for the Kunle Afolayan Productions Film and Television Academy, she was in charge of the Academy’s day-to-day operations.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science, Sports Administration track, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the fifth-best public university in the United States. She continued to earn Master of Business Administration and Master of Sports Business Management degrees from the University of Central Florida’s DeVos Sport Business Management program, which SportsBusiness International ranked as the top sport master’s program in the world. She received the Nigerian Meritorious Award for Excellence in Sport in 2016.
